Gisborne City Vintage Railway Excursions

Gisborne's own vintage Wa165 is the only remaining Wa class train. Now retired our WA165 comes out for special steam trips and excursions for you and your families out in the sun. What makes our steam trips so special is the travel across the airport (the only one in the southern hemisphere). 

All Excursions depart from Gisborne Railway Station at 1pm. The excursion will take you on a return loop to Muriwai, with the option to be dropped off at Wrights Winery to sample some of their decadent Gisborne wine over a light lunch and collected on the return trip. Excursion lasts approximately 2 hours.

Poverty Bay Turf Club Race Day Sunday

Sunday 21st February 2016 with gates open from 10.30am. A great day out for all the family with Fashion in the Field, Funworks Entertainment Park, and a lucky punter prize draw of $1,000.
